Professor Ahmet Ekin is currently the head of department of Orthopaedics and Traumatology. He was the head of Hand Surgery dept. ?n Dokuz Eylül University, school of medicine for 20 years. He had graduated from Hacettepe University school of medicine in 1978 and completed his Orthopaedics training on 1983 in Hacettepe University school of medicine department of Orth. Trau. He was accepted from Colombia University on 1989. Completed Hand Surgery trainig 1990 in Colombia University school of medicine. He joined universty of Texas medical school for Elbow and Shoulder Surgery Education on 1994, and continuied training Grand Rapids M?ch?gan, Blodged Medical Center 1995
