Biography

After studying Medicine at Ege (Agean) University Faculty of Medicine, Ercan decided to pursue a career in Cardiology. He also attended several cardiology specialized training courses in Germany, Australia and USA.

He has been as senior Interventional Cardiologist since 2011 at Izmir University Hospital (formerly known as MedicalPark) in Izmir, Turkey.

Dr. Ercan has over 200 publications in peer-reviewed journals. His expertise is especially in the area of “cardiovascular immunology”. Presently he is an editorial member of five different international SCI indexed cardiology journals.

Dr. Ercan was certified for transcutaneous aortic valv replacement, mitra-clip, cryoablation, carotid stent implantation, percutaneous abdominal aortic greft implantation.

His scientific publications were referenced in total of 1978 articles.
